What time is Fajr today in Selong?

Fajr in Selong, Endonezya begins today (Friday, October 16, 2026) at 04:38 local time (Asia/Makassar). This is the start of the dawn prayer window, which closes at sunrise.

When does the Fajr window end in Selong?

The Fajr window closes the moment the upper edge of the sun crosses the horizon at sunrise. Praying Fajr after sunrise means it is missed and must be made up as qada (make-up prayer) as soon as you remember. Tomorrow Fajr begins at 04:37.

Is it permissible to combine Fajr with another prayer?

No. Unlike Dhuhr/Asr or Maghrib/Isha — which classical scholars permit combining under specific conditions like travel or rain — Fajr is always offered in its own window. If you wake late, pray Fajr immediately as qada with the intention to make up the missed prayer.

What is the Hijri date today in Selong for Fajr?

Today corresponds to 5 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH in the Islamic Hijri calendar. The Fajr time of 04:38 reflects the dawn of this Hijri day in Selong.

How does today's Fajr time in Selong compare to the same date last year?

On this same date one year ago, Fajr in Selong was at 04:38 local time — identical to today's 04:38. Year-over-year drift is sometimes zero when the leap-year alignment cancels out the typical solar shift.

How many rakat is Fajr prayer?

Fajr prayer consists of 2 Sunnah, 2 Fard (4 rakat in total). This breakdown follows the standard Sunni convention as taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

What direction is the Qibla from Selong for Fajr?

From Selong, the Qibla bearing toward the Kaaba in Mecca is approximately 293° measured clockwise from true north. The same direction applies to every prayer of the day — only the time of Fajr changes daily.

What is the spiritual significance of Fajr?

The two Rak'ahs of Fajr are better than the world and all it contains. (Muslim)

Why is Fajr in congregation particularly emphasized?

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, it is as if he has prayed the whole night" (Muslim). Fajr is the smallest prayer in size but among the weightiest in reward, marking the first conscious act of worship of each day.
